No change requests can be granted after January 16

Any students that are Self-Housed during CASMEC will need to be responsible for their housing and all travel during the conference. This includes being on time to all rehearsals, exhibit hall time, and attending concerts in Saroyan. Self-Housed students are expected to fulfill all the same obligations of CASMEC-housed All-State Student Musicians with the exception of travel, hotel, breakfast, and dinner. Lunch will be provided for all participating students regardless of housing choice. Self-Housed students and their chaperones will need to make independent meal arrangements for breakfast and dinner.

CASMEC is committed to providing an educational environment free from discrimination, harassment, and intimidation and/or bullying.

CASMEC prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and/or bullying based on the actual or perceived characteristics of sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race or ethnicity, ethnic group identification, ancestry, nationality, national origin, religion, color, mental or physical disability, age, or on the basis of a person’s association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics, in any program or activity it conducts or to which it provides significant assistance.

Accordingly, CASMEC allows all students to be treated in a manner consistent with their gender identity, including that of placement for housing. Any students for whom this policy represents a potential violation of their right to privacy or religious expression should notify the CASMEC Student Host at the time of acceptance for the ensemble band, and CASMEC staff will work with the students and parents/guardians to find an acceptable arrangement.
