2023 Conducting Symposium
Symposium Description
The California Band Directors Association and Guy Lake Batons, are proud to present the CASMEC Wind Band Conducting Symposium. We are bringing in 2
fantastic clinicians to CASMEC to share their knowledge with 12 attendees. Dr. Gary P. Gilroy from California State University, Fresno and Dr. Andy Collinsworth from California State University, Sonoma. The symposium will take place on Wednesday afternoon/evening, February 15th and Thursday morning/early afternoon, February 16th. Cost
The cost of this event is $125 for CBDA members and $175 for non CBDA members. 2 Spots will be reserved for teachers with 5 years or less experience, including college students. CASMEC attendees are invited to attend the Symposium as an observer at no additional cost.
Deadline to Apply
Friday, December 2, 2022. Selected applicants will be notified by Friday, December 16, 2022.
