So much music, so little time! Leading effective rehearsals is often a direct result of what we do rather than what we say. Explore strategies to communicate more by saying less through effective rehearsal planning combined with efficient, non-verbal gestures and techniques that promote student focus and engagement, support musical independence and interdependence, and save precious rehearsal time. Learn practices to support your blueprint for success through more fulfilling music making in any ensemble setting. Demonstrations will be led from the podium. Bring your instrument and play with the California Baptist University Wind Ensemble to gain a musician’s perspective (optional). (Several conductors will be pre-selected to participate in the presentation.)
