Michelle Ewer
Alfred Music
Michelle Ewer is a semi-retired music educator with over 40 years of band and orchestra teaching experience. Her groups have performed multiple times at the Colorado Music Educators Association (CMEA) Conference. Her Jazz Strings performed at numerous jazz festivals receiving superior ratings. She continues to teach and coach part-time.
Michelle is currently employed at the University of Colorado, Boulder as a Music Lecturer – Student Teacher Support. She manages all aspects of the student teaching process. Ms. Ewer is the current Colorado Chapter President for Tri-M Music Honor Society, including planning the annual Tri-M Day Convention in Colorado Springs. She is active as a guest conductor and adjudicator throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Michelle is past president of CMEA and the Colorado American String Teachers Association. In 2014, she was inducted into the CMEA Hall of Fame. Currently, she conducts the Academy Strings Orchestra within the Front Range Youth Symphony (CO).
