We know that music education is much more than elegant conducting gestures and beautiful repertoire, but how do we approach the many classroom details we never covered in our method’s courses? We will answer questions like “How do I select student leadership?”, “How can I connect with students within my 8-minute warm-up sequence?” and “How do I reach the student that got dumped into my class by their counselor?!”. This session will give you practical fixes, helpful handouts, and easy additions that can apply to every grade level of music education. Whether navigating student solo selection or filling that awkward post-concert/pre-graduation curriculum time, we have tools you can begin using tomorrow!
