Keep pain and discomfort out of your classroom! In this session, attendees will walk away with quick interventions and movement explorations to help students understand their bodies. These interventions will help students use their bodies according to their anatomical design, find a language to discuss their bodies, and help them to find joyful music making without limitation.
Target Audience
Public School Music Educators-will be geared for orchestra until the session in which it can be tailored on site

Allison Ross
Dr. Allison Ross is a Kansas City native. Ross earned her DMA in Music Education from Boston University in 2022. Her area of study is in musician health and wellness. Ross has taught beginning through advanced string players for 15 years. Ross has enjoyed her experience as an adjudicator and clinician throughout the United States. She has judged solos, ensembles, All-State auditions, and large ensembles. She has also been an active part of the music review committee for the state of Missouri’s prescribed music list. Ross has served as the District Orchestra Representative for ILMEA District #6 and MMEA District #3. She has also served as the MMEA Area Vice President for orchestra as well as MoASTA President.
