What if music teachers could bring rhythm, movement, and creativity to their classroom using just a few basic materials? This clinic is for anyone who has ever had to build an elementary school music program from scratch or stretch a small budget across hundreds of students. In Ballin’ on a Budget, participants will explore how to use rhythm sticks, gym materials, scarves, and buckets to create flexible instrument stations for general music. Those in attendance will also get links to rhythm read-alongs, learn a song or two, and leave with practical ideas they can use next week.
Ballin’ on a Budget offers a hands-on look at how to make music happen in underfunded spaces to bring music to as many students as possible. Teachers will leave with plug-and-play ideas for bucket drumming, rhythm sticks, and more, all tested in real elementary classrooms across California.
