"Instigating Change: Why Teaching in a Title 1 School Could Be for You!" invites educators to participate in an insightful exploration of the power of music education within Title 1 schools. This clinic session is designed to foster a candid dialogue about the profound impact that music education can have on underserved communities and why you should consider becoming an Instigator of Change.
A highlight of the session includes a panel discussion featuring experienced educators from a variety of Title 1 schools. Panelists will share their firsthand experiences, successes, and challenges, offering diverse perspectives on effective teaching practices and community engagement strategies.This session will share with educators the abundant amount of funding available to Title 1 schools as well as the plethora of reasons why teaching in a Title 1 School could be for them.

Monroe Community of Schools Visual and Performing Arts Academy
Ryan Gonzales is the current Director of Bands at James Monroe High School and the Director of the Monroe Community Schools, Visual and Performing Arts Academy. Mr. Gonzales is an advocate in the Monroe Community helping to provide comprehensive arts education to all students K-12, while also leading the award winning James Monroe High School Wind Ensemble. Mr. Gonzales is a founding member of the Monroe Community Fine Arts Conservatory and also serves as a guest clinician throughout the Southern California area.
