Founded in 1997 as part of Natomas Charter School’s Performing and Fine Arts Academy, the NCS Percussion Ensemble is the oldest continuously active high school percussion ensemble in Northern California. They play all kinds of music ranging from the standard repertoire to pieces for trash cans and buckets. They have performed at the Central California Day of Percussion, CSU Sacramento Day of Percussion, California Arts Day, Disneyland, Sacramento Kings NBA Game, California Charter Schools Association Convention, the Benvenuti Performing and fine Arts Center, and various schools in the Sacramento area.
