Join us for an interactive session with Becky Stewart, an award-winning music educator from Northern California. She has successfully established a thriving Title I music program and is excited to share her insights with you. Additionally, we will review our School Accountability Report Cards and discuss how this data should influence our curriculum and daily teaching.

Becky Stewart

Becky Stewart is in her tenth year of teaching music at Yuba Gardens Intermediate in Olivehurst, CA. She graduated with honors from CSU Sacramento with a bachelor’s in Music Performance: Flute and Music Education and holds a master’s degree in music education from American Band College.

 

Becky is a recipient of the 2015 CTA Outstanding First Year Teacher Award, the 2019 Outstanding New Educator Award, the 2020 CMEA Middle School Music Specialist Award, the 2023 CMEA Capitol Section “Title 1 Music Educator of the Year”, and the VFW Post 4095 2023 Teacher of the Year. 

 

Becky serves on the CMEA Northern Section Board as the President-Elect and on the CMEA State Board as a representative for students with diverse needs. Becky is a sought after conductor and clinician in California, and clinician across the United States. In her spare time, she enjoys playing in a big band with her husband and cruising in her ‘65 Mustang!
