This clinic is a look at and discussion for some of the many challenges that mainly women may face when they add the role of "Mother" to their resume while also maintaining their current teacher assignments. The objective of this discussion style presentation is to identify, discuss and provide possible solutions for handling the stress of being both a music teacher and a mother.

Christina Sleigh Garcia
Lindhurst high school
Christina Sleigh Garcia was raised in Northern California and has been teaching in the surrounding area since 2008. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Masters of Music, Instrumental Conducting in Wind Studies from California State University, Sacramento.
Mrs.Garcia knew at a young age she wanted to be a high school band director and has been the proud Director of Music at Lindhurst High School in the Marysville Joint Unified School District since 2012. While also rebuilding the program at Lindhurst, Mrs.Garcia has been an integral leader and mentor in rebuilding the districts music programs.
