The Chaparral Middle School Sinfonia Orchestra is from Diamond Bar, California. The Sinfonia Orchestra is made up of Chaparral’s 8th grade non-beginning string players. The musicians in this ensemble have been playing their instrument for at least one year, and there are members of the orchestra who have been playing for up to nine years. The experience level may vary, but the passion and commitment to growth is consistent among all of the students.

Chaparral has made travel a priority to give the students the experience of performing in various venues and for diverse audiences around the country. They have played everywhere from the Lincoln Center to Carnegie Hall. They perform all over Southern California, and can often be seen at Disneyland, local festivals, and other community events. Many of the members are participants in local community orchestras, and have been accepted to play in the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association Honor Orchestras and the All State Honor Orchestras. These students are also incredibly well rounded, and participate in various sports and clubs, all while keeping their grades high. Most recently, Sinfonia has traveled to Arizona and San Diego, and they are looking forward to the next opportunity!
