Explore how purposeful xylophone instruction can build confident, musical learners from their very first experience to a polished performance. Trevino will share a sequential approach using echo patterns, scale work, steady beat games, movement, improvisation, rehearsal strategies, and creative ensemble building activities designed to engage diverse learners and varying skill levels. Participants will actively experience hands on activities that support accessibility, collaboration, musical independence, and student success in elementary music settings. Attendees will leave with practical, ready to use lessons, rehearsal tools, and performance strategies that foster joyful, inclusive music making while developing strong foundational musicianship.
