This ensemble is a guitar ensemble. All members play fretted/plucked instruments. I became an educator to see guitar ensemble become more prevalent in California. I ultimately want to see California have an All State Guitar Ensemble like some other states. Bret Harte Middle School is a Title 1 public school in the heart of Oakland. %95 of our student body are eligible for free and reduced lunches.
