Habits of a Successful Band Director

Saturday – January 16, 2027 at 1:00 PM | B1

The Habits Synergy Model focuses on how pedagogy, curriculum, communication, experience, heart energy, physical energy, and effectiveness create synergy to produce a successful music educator. Participants will be encouraged to create their own Teaching Inventory Database, which will serve as a blueprint for “What” to teach and “How” to teach it. Rush will also explore the important role "fundamentals time" plays in the development of outstanding musicians and great-sounding ensembles. Musical and personal significance lasts for generations as we address culture, community, and the social, emotional, and musical needs of our students. We are in the music business and the people business.
