CMEA Elementary Music Showcase Application

The Elementary Music Showcase application will open on March 1st, and will close on May 15th, 2026, at 11:59 pm.

We are excited to announce that CMEA will host the third-annual Elementary Classroom Music Showcase at CASMEC 2027 on January 14, 2027. The intent of this Showcase is to feature elementary ensembles on the performance main stage and will feature groups representing the variety of music making ensembles and classes existing in UTK-Grade 5/6 settings. Ensembles may include classroom/general music, guitar, percussion, ukulele, Orff, etc.. Please note, this Elementary Showcase is separate from the performance opportunities that currently exist throughout the convention site, and a video and application is required. You must be an active CMEA member to apply.

Performance day – January 14, 2027, 9:00 AM-12:00 AM
An Orff instrumentarium, classroom small percussion, and some drums will be provided. These will be communicated to the ensemble once accepted.
Each ensemble will have 15-20 minutes of performance time, depending on the number of performances.
Please note that risers are not available and singers will be on a flat stage 42′ wide x 56′ deep. A piano, hanging area mics, and 4 handheld mics will be available.
