2021 CASMEC Medal of Honor Recipient- Lou De La Rosa
We are honored and proud to present the 2021 CASMEC Medal of Honor. The CASMEC Medal of Honor was created last year, in 2020, as a way to recognize individuals’ unique and outstanding service and leadership to music education, in the state of California. These award recipients’ contributions and influence on the development and improvement of music education deserves special recognition. This year‘s award recipient is Mr. Lou De La Rosa. Mr. Lou De La Rosa is a dear friend and colleague who has been teaching music education in this great state for over 30 years. His choirs have traveled all over the world on tour gaining tremendous accolades. Lou has been an outstanding member, contributor and leader in our profession for much of those 30 years. He has served as President of California Choral Directors Association and has been very involved in the CMEA Bay Section and at the State Level. Lou currently serves our community as the Western Region President of ACDA. His leadership, kindness and vision has made California better and has made music education better. Lou De La Rosa is tremendously deserving of this award. We are so honored and grateful to present this 2021 CASMEC Medal of Honor in 2021 to Lou De La Rosa. Congratulations, Lou!
